Resource Center are a number of resources for professional development.
- Committee for Children Second Step
- A Violence Prevention curriculum. Staff training video series and classroom
curriculum. Materials available for grades 1-3 and middle school.
- Thought, Word & Deed - Teaching
Character Through Respect and Responsibility - for Self, Others and Society.
Curriculum materials including video.
- Caring For People God's Way -
certificate program in biblical counseling from the American Association of
Christian Counselors. Graduate-level, 30-hour video and/or audio program,
complete with workbook and exams.
- Minirth & Meier's Home Counseling Video
Library. Two and a half hour videos on the following topics: Building a
Healthy Self-Concept, Burnout, Coping with Anxiety, Eating Disorders,
Happiness is a Choice, and Personality Types.
- Video of Matt Neigh's student workshop
on Third Culture Kids and Transition (March 2002). Complete with
syllabus, worksheets and ASCI continuing education form.
PowerPoint presentation, "Virtual
Guidance: New Directions," designed for counselors on using Internet
resources as a component in guidance services. (Workshop presented at American
Schools of South America conference, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Oct. 2000.)
