Frequently Asked Questions:
Why is Dalat having an Alumni fundraiser?
To fulfil the mission of Dalat International School for future generations by providing an education for life founded on a biblical worldview and to create memories that last. The Alumni Fund gives the chance to Dalat Alumni to make an investment in students and missions in SE Asia. Dalat students past and present are loyal and take care of each other.
How much do MK students receive in discounts?
The amount varies according to grade. High school students (Grades 9 to 12) receive $5000 each year in academic discounts, middle school an average of $4500, and elementary students $2500. Boarding students receive an additional $5000 each year in boarding cost discounts. Dalat also provides an additional $30,000 in scholarships each year on top of student discounts.
Is Dalat operating within its budget?
Yes. Dalat's operating budget is fully covered by tuition. School Board policy mandates a balanced budget.
How much should I give?
Give according to what you are happy to give. What kind of investment do you want to make in the lives of Dalat students?
Can I designate my gift?
You can designate your gift be added to the MK Education Endowment Fund or for international travel of student athletes and artists to international competitions and workshops in SE Asia.
Are my gifts tax deductible?

All who give to the Alumni Fund will be recognized for their gifts in our alumni newsletters in an annual report.
Can my gift be anonymous?
Yes.
What if I want to give to something other than the MK Endowment Fund or international travel?
If you would like to give to Dalat athletics, the dorms, library or anything else you can think of that will benefit Dalat International School you are welcome to do so. We will make sure that each gift is used with the intent in which it is given.

Creating Memories

Supporting MK Education & Music and Athletics
As an alum, you know the depth and significance of Dalat's impact in your life. You can be part of Dalat's continuing service to missionary families in Asia and creating memories by participating in the Alumni Fund.
Missionary kid education is one of the most important tools in support of those working to share the love of Christ to the entire world. Many of you — as former students whose parents ministered in Asia — know this firsthand.
By providing students with an excellent education and a family-style boarding community, Dalat gives parents the flexibility to minister anywhere God calls them in the region, knowing that their children are being well-cared for.
This year's Alumni Fund is also about creating memories. Dalat Alumni say that their memories of Dalat are some of their most precious possessions. Giving to the Alumni Fund will also provide resources for sports teams and musical groups to travel to regional tournaments and competitions; the things memories are made of.
