About your Teacher

I am very excited about teaching grade 4b at Dalat! I look forward to getting to know your student.

I have been married for eleven years and have two boys JT and Gavin Chase. I have lived in Florida my entire life and am excited to live in Malaysia.

I have taught for the past eight years in pre-k through fourth grade. I have been in fourth grade for the past two years. My favorite subject is reading and I have received my National Board Certification in reading as well as a reading endorsement. My favorite book is "The Giving Tree". I hope to have a great year full of learning and growing.

Class Information

This year we have 21 students in our class. We have students from Canada (CA), Indonesia (ID) , Malaysia (MY), United States (US), Korea (KR), and Mexico (MX). We start each day with prayer. Every morning we work on Language Arts and Math. In the afternoons we work on Bible and social studies or science.

All of these activities will bring excitement to your student. I look forward to learning with them and discovering new and exciting things!

What should Students bring to School?

Each day, please have your child bring to school a small water bottle to be kept in the classroom and a small back pack and place an umbrella in your child's locker to use throughout the year.

Folders, paper, pencils, erasers, colored pencils, markers, crayons, scissors and rulers are all provided by the school so there is no need to bring any of these items. Mechanical pencils are not permitted as they can be quite a distraction.
