Jun-ho Choi

Senior Project: The Diverse World of Pottery

Jun-ho Choi has completed all the requirements for the Advanced Merit Diploma and will be recognized at the Dalat International School Awards Assembly and Commencement. Jun-ho’s research topic was on the diverse world of pottery. He created three original pieces of pottery using the coil method.

He presented his research and product at his senior exhibition to a panel of judges in November of 2007.  Jun-ho has maintained a high level of academic excellence while completing two Advanced Placement (AP) courses during his senior year.

Laura Danneker

Senior Project: Music Composition for a Brass Quartet

Laura Danneker has completed all the requirements for the Advanced Merit Diploma and will be recognized at the Dalat International School Awards Assembly and Commencement.  Laura’s research topic involved how to compose a piece of music for a brass quartet. She wrote and conducted an original piece of music for a brass quartet made up of fellow students at DIS. 

She presented her research and product at her senior exhibition to a panel of judges in November of 2007.  Laura has maintained a high level of academic excellence while completing three Advanced Placement (AP) courses during her senior year.

David Im

Senior Project: Traditional Masks of Korea

David Im has completed all the requirements for the Advanced Merit Diploma and will be recognized at the Dalat International School Awards Assembly and Commencement.  David’s research topic was on traditional masks of Korea. He crafted an original mask with help from a maker of traditional masks in the city of Ulsun, Korea.  

He presented his research and product at his senior exhibition to a panel of judges in November of 2007.  David has maintained a high level of academic excellence while completing three Advanced Placement (AP) courses during his senior year.

Jeff Hokyo

Senior Project: Photo-Journalism

Jeff Hokyo has completed all the requirements for the Advanced Merit Diploma and will be recognized at the Dalat International School Awards Assembly and Commencement. The research topic Jeff chose to investigate was in the area of photo-journalism. His product was a visual presentation of his own photographs giving details of what makes a photograph suitable for use in photo-journalism.

He presented his research and product at his senior exhibition to a panel of judges in November of 2007.  Jeff has maintained a high level of academic excellence while completing two Advanced Placement (AP) courses during his senior year.

Ashley Nam

Senior Project: Fresco Painting: Michelangelo’s statue The Pietà

Ashley Nam has completed all the requirements for the Advanced Merit Diploma and will be recognized at the Dalat International School Awards Assembly and Commencement. Ashley’s topic for research was fresco painting. She painted an original fresco based on Michelangelo’s statue The Pietà.

She presented her research and product at her senior exhibition to a panel of judges in November of 2007.  Ashley has maintained a high level of academic excellence while completing three Advanced Placement (AP) courses during her senior year.
