Providing support and special services for students
The Special Services program provides educational assistance to students with mild to moderate special needs. The goal of the program is to provide supports and consultative services in grades K-12 that develop independence for students in their classes and to achieve success in their learning. A range of services such as educational and behavioral assessments, classroom observations, individual education plans, individual or small group instruction, class-based support, homework assistance as well as consultative advice and support to classroom teachers and parents can be provided.
Dalat does not offer any interventions or therapies for specific diagnosed learning disabilities or health issues that affect learning.
Working with staff and parents, an Individual Support Plan will be developed for all students who have been identified via educational and/or medical evaluation as needing regular support, and will be supervised by Special Services personnel.
Acceptance into Dalat International School and the Special Services program is at the school’s discretion.
