Thank you for responding to God’s call on your life and being willing and available to His work overseas by ministering at Dalat International School. If you have any questions, please e-mail us.

All forms should be submitted electronically, faxed or mailed to the director of Dalat International School.

  1. Keep a photocopy of all records and forms you complete and send to the school. Be sure to sign and date all forms. If filing out hard copies, please type or print legibly in ink. Carefully follow all directions for completing any paperwork. All forms are available from the school’s website.
  2. Complete the Staff Application Form and submit with recent photo. Begin corresponding with the director.
  3. Distribute the four Reference Forms to current employer, pastor, professional colleague and friend and request forms to be mailed or faxed to the director. (Reference forms available on the school website are in PDF format. If the individual writing the reference form prefers to send it via e-mail, he/she may request a Zoomerang survey which will be sent to his/her e-mail address.)
  4. Read through the Statement of Faith and complete the personal response portion and submit.
  5. Complete the Personal Questionnaire and submit.
  6. Teachers complete the Teaching Staff Survey and submit.
  7. For non-instructional or administrative staff, complete the Administrative Staff Survey and submit.
  8. Dorm parents complete the Dorm Staff Survey and submit to the residence supervisors Brian and Val Weidemann at
  9. Read the DIS Salary and Benefits Contract including the Lifestyle Statement to ensure that you are in agreement with the terms and conditions of employment.
  10. You may be scheduled for a phone interview. Once this is complete, you may be offered a job on the condition that your background check is acceptable.
  11. For work documentation purposes, complete the Health Information Form and have a physician complete the Physical Evaluation. Submit both forms to the director.
  12. The director will arrange for a background check and psychological evaluation to be performed by an independent organization, Missions for Unreached People Groups (MUP’s).
  13. Once you have been offered the job, please consult the Moving to Penang portion on the school’s website. Read “Once You’ve Been Hired” and follow instructions for obtaining your work documents.

Timeline

  • November: director available to meet potential candidates at ACSI hiring fair, Wheaton, IL
  • January: job opening posted on school website, InterCristo and ACSI
  • February 1 – April 30: applications and references sent to the school, initial questions and communication with the director via e-mail
  • February 27 – April 15: phone interviews arranged with director supervisor and/or director
  • April 1 – April 30: decisions made and contracts offered
  • April/May: MUP’s evaluations conducted via phone
  • June: new hires correspond with director’s secretary for flight arrangements, school’s welcome committee may contact new hires regarding housing
  • July 25-29: new staff orientation on site
