Hey, if you like soccer then you will love Dalat International
School. There are teams for both Male & Female, High & Middle
school.
Unfortunately for females there are no "local" teams here in
Malaysia. Only the international schools field a squad for
“football” as they call it in Asia. Dalat sponsors a uniquely
Malaysian 2-day tourney which has teams from Kuala Lumpur pooled
with local Penang schools, the only 1 of its kind in Malaysia.
Most years we have at least 10 male entries & we have had as
many as 14.
Females usually run around 4-6 teams. Coaches are
dedicated and are willing to assist players who desire to learn
and improve.

Fall 2007 Junior Varsity Girls
Fall 2007 Junior Varsity Boys
Both boys & girls make the annual journey to an ISAKL tourney in
Kuala Lumpur where the site rotates amongst the big 4
international schools: Alice Smith, Mont’ Kiara, Garden & the
International School of Kuala Lumpur. These schools regularly
attend the Dalat Tournament.
When entries allow we do have a MS boys tourney on another
weekend.
Boys are privileged to have 2 seasons, just like Basketball &
Volleyball.
We have our home & away tourneys, plus some
games in Semester1 followed by the MSSPP Season in Semester2 for
both MS & HS.HSHS
Our
Varsity Boys are the MSSPP Champions for Penang Island North
Zone 2007 & Silver Medalists in 2008. The Varsity girls also
have an impressive record.
Semester 1 football season begins very shortly after school
begins in August & runs until about Mid October.
It then resumes in Semester 2 with MSSPP competitions
which generally run from February through March. MSSPP is short
for Majlis Sukan Sekolah Sekolah Pulau Pinang which is
essentially Penang’s Zone & State playoffs. These combined
seasons provide the interested athletes with about 15 weeks of
football during which athletes & coaches are provided with 3
quality tournaments plus several “friendly matches” each year.
The term friendly here in Malaysia refers to any game which is
not for a local tournament or for MSSPP.
