EAL

Preparing students for success in English

EAL = English as an Additional Language

Dalat International School takes pride in a student body with diverse linguistic backgrounds and warmly welcomes multilingual students who meet our foundational English language standards.

EAL students spend the majority of their day learning alongside peers who are proficient in English and participate fully in the school’s grade-level curriculum. Students who are developing their English proficiency receive regular EAL lessons during the school day in addition to their other classes.

The EAL program is designed to help students fully access and succeed in Dalat’s curriculum alongside their peers.

English During the Day

Dalat students are expected to use English as their main language of communication throughout the school day or while involved in school activities.

This supports their academic language development and helps build an inclusive community where students from many cultures can connect and learn together.
