We are committed to meeting the individual needs of every student.
We believe that every child with additional educational needs has the same entitlement to receiving a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum.
Based on that philosophy, the Learning Support programis designed for students with identified learning, attention or developmental needs at a mild to moderate level.
The goal of the program is to provide targeted learning support and consultative services in grades K-12. A range of services such as educational and behavioral assessments, classroom observations, individual education plans, individual or small group instruction, class-based support, intervention (targeted instruction), as well as consultative advice and support to classroom teachers and parents can be provided.
All students enrolled in learning support will have an Individual Support Plan, created in collaboration with the student, parents, and staff; their progress will be monitored by learning support staff.
Student Services
We believe that providing for the needs of these students is a joint responsibility between teachers and parents. Although each teacher has the responsibility of ensuring that the student’s needs are identified, addressed and met in the school, the parents also have an equal and vital role to play in supporting and meeting these needs.
