Measuring What Matters

MAP Growth Assessment
At Dalat International School, we believe that understanding your child’s unique academic journey is essential to helping them thrive. That’s why we partner with NWEA to utilize the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth assessment. Rather than a traditional test that simply evaluates what a student already knows, MAP is a dynamic "assessment FOR learning". It acts much like a digital growth chart, measuring your child's academic progress and tracking their individual development over time.
MAP Growth is a computer-adaptive test given on a device, covering core areas like reading, language usage, science, and mathematics.
Because it adjusts in difficulty based on how your child answers each question, it safely challenges top performers without overwhelming students who need extra help. Within just an hour per session, teachers gain highly accurate, detailed, and quick data. This allows educators to tailor daily classroom instruction, set personalized student goals, and build a powerful, informed partnership with you at home to promote your child’s lifelong learning.
