Personal Data Protection Information for Existing Students/Parents/Guardians

In our continuous effort to protect the privacy of our students and parents/guardians, Dalat International School (the School) strives to fully comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024 (the Act) in every possible way.

This Notice is issued pursuant to the requirements of the Act and it serves to inform all our students/parents/guardians of the Personal Data Protection Policies enforced by the School.

As you may have provided us with your personal data in your present and past dealings with the School including (but not limited to) name, age, gender, NRIC number/passport number, personal photograph, contact information, personal banking and finance related information, health and medical records, family data, etc., the School wishes to inform you that such data/information shall continue to be retained/used by the School for their original intended purposes.

Personal data is any data that is used in a daily commercial transaction that allows an individual to become identifiable directly or indirectly from the said data.

General Notice

You may contact any members of the School’s Personal Data Protection Committee should you have any queries or complaints relating to this notice or our standing Personal Data Protection Policy. You may also contact us if you suspect or have reasons to be believe that there the safety of your personal data has been compromised or if there is suspected misuse or abuse of your personal data in the School’s possession. It is important for you to be aware that your child (children's) continued enrollment at the School is deemed consent for the School to continue to retain/use all the personal data it has obtained from you hitherto.

Please contact our Administrators to inform us of your intention to withdraw your consent should you wish to. However, do be aware that your withdrawal of consent for us to retain/use your/your child (children)’s personal data may affect his/her studentship at the School.
