College Admission Testing at
Dalat International School

Dalat International School is pleased to offer a variety of external, college-prep standardized tests each year. Registration for the ACT & SAT (available to the public) is done completely online, and AP/PSAT testing is for Dalat/DLRC-homeschool students only.  We are  required to direct you the official sites (listed below) to receive answers to all your questions for ACT and SAT testing.

Due to COVID-19 we have 100 seats for the SAT and 25 seats for the ACT.  Since they fill up very quickly please register early directly with those companies. Dalat International School has no involvement in the registration process.

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams

AP testing at Dalat is only for Dalat/DLRC-homeschool students. Please check the College Board website here to test as an “exam only” external student at other test centers in Malaysia like Nexus International School – Kuala Lumpur (admissions@nexus.edu.my) and in Singapore at the United States Education Information Center (USEIC).

Campus Access on Test Day

For all tests, be sure to check their international test dates, not domestic test dates, and you will be shown which test dates are available at Dalat and other schools in Malaysia. 

On the day of the test, you will first check in at Security/Front Gate as early as 7 am and be given instructions to test admission.

Parents/guardians/drivers will have to exit campus after dropping off students.

Available to the public.  You must register online for the international computer based-ACT test (www.act.org), and ACT test prep practice book materials can be found through major bookstore chains like:

Notes for this school year:

  • Testing is computer-based only.
  • Some of the calculators permitted for SAT are NOT permitted for ACT (e.g. TI-89)
  • Practice tests for the computer-based testing are now available on the ACT website.
  • Preparation for the ACT can be done for free online via ACT Academy.

Only 25 spots available each test administration date, so SIGN UP early!

SAT

Available to the public. You can take SAT at Dalat (and free test prep via Khan Academy) by registering/paying online.
