Welcome to Dalat Elementary School. Our school is a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place where students are educated and nurtured by dedicated and highly trained teachers and staff. While at DIS, students are inspired to do their best, think creatively and critically, and to work cooperatively with their peers. Additionally, they will be taught to be respectful, responsible, helpful, and safe citizens. The elementary school serves students from pre-school through 4th grade.

As a school, we value holistic education, character development, differentiated instruction, and active learning. Students are given ample opportunity to explore and develop a variety of interests and skills. Additionally, the Elementary provides special pull out classes in music, the visual arts, physical education, library, and technology to enhance our core curriculum. We also provide EAL (English as an Additional Language) services and after school club opportunities.

Our mission is to prepare young learners to reach their fullest academic potential and to live fully for God. It is our desire that their educational experience at Dalat will help develop them into a knowledgeable person of character, integrity, and compassion. We recognize that not all students learn the same way and structure programs and instruction to meet the varying needs of each child. Our Student Services Team (counselor, EAL teachers, and Special Services department) collaborate with classroom teachers to meet the needs of all students.

We also recognize the impact that the involvement of parents have on student learning. We look forward to partnering with you during your child’s time at DIS and we encourage your active participation.
