Math K

Students use a variety of manipulatives to begin learning math concepts such as representing and comparing whole numbers, modeling basic addition and subtraction, and identifying, naming, and describing two- and three-dimensional shapes. Kindergarteners also learn to recognize, write, and represent numbers from 0 to 100.

Students learn to compose and decompose numbers, and model, solve, and construct simple addition and subtraction equations. Additionally, they use basic shapes and spatial reasoning to model objects in their environment and to construct more complex shapes
