AP Drawing

The AP Drawing portfolio is designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art and producing art work that demonstrates synthesis of materials, processes, and ideas using drawing skills. AP Drawing is not based on a written examination; instead, students submit a portfolio for evaluation at the end of the school year.

In this course, students present selected materials from the work they have done during the AP course for evaluation at the end of the year by a group of artists and teachers. The portfolio is a vehicle through which students can demonstrate their ability to deal with fundamental concerns of the visual arts and can thus possibly earn credit or advanced placement, or both, at the college level.
