Algebra I presents the basic concepts of algebra. Concepts studied include using formulas, solving, writing, and graphing linear equations, solving linear systems of equations and inequalities, simplifying expressions using the properties of exponents, simplifying and solving quadratic expressions and equations, working with polynomials with an emphasis on factoring, working with rational expressions and functions, exponential, piecewise defined functions, linear regression models, and introducing connections to geometry.
