Asian Studies

Asian Studies examines the historical patterns and interactions in Asia from ancient times to present day, focusing specifically on China, India, Japan, Korea, and southeast Asia (including Malaysia). 

Students will learn to interpret history through the lenses of chronology, contextualization, and continuity-and-change-over-time. Students will also learn about some of the primary belief systems developed in Asia, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Islam, and Judaism.
