In order to equip students with the skills to use technology and to become independent learners, Dalat middle school information technology curriculum focuses on four major areas: digital citizenship, coding, research, and software skills. This will help students develop their capabilities in using technology for tasks associated with design, data handling, research, problem-solving, creative expression, communication, and collaboration.
The units are specifically sequenced to enable students to be successful in other content areas at Dalat and beyond. The class meets twice a week and primarily involves in-class work assignments. Grade 5 meets twice per week all year, Grades 6,7, and 8 meet twice per week for one semester.
