We are so excited to welcome everyone back for another school year! As always, there have been many great changes at Dalat.

Congratulations Class of 2024!

Graduation is finally here and will take place this evening of Thursday, June 6, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Harbor Hall.

Language Arts is so interesting this year. Mr. Chin somehow makes it fun! Dalat is so lucky to have him here. I look forward to that class every day.

Recently a kindergarten student gave Mrs. Anne-Marie Pagee a large envelope with two books he had written for children served by Care & Share. Mrs. Pagee brought them to the Shan Children’s Home, and the small children took turns reading the books. The exchange of giving and receiving was so precious and such a great example of our students looking outside themselves to bless others.

I love how everyone from the coaches to the admin to the teachers are ready to connect and mentor our kids. I can’t tell you how many bits of life wisdom and truth my kids have come home with that a staff person has cared enough to share with them. On top of this ‘heart,’ you are professional, and what you do you do with excellence and enthusiasm, and we have watched you volunteer extra hours all the time.

At the end of a probably long and tiring day, when a lot of homework still awaits, a Dalat student should be very thankful. We are to be thankful for every teacher who laid down a fashionable career to mentor and develop the lives of those under them.

Several teachers are connectors in our community who know where needs are and how our students can reach out and help meet those needs. They regularly organize trips to an orphanage, the old folks home, SKTT school near Tesco, and a host of other outings to provide outreach opportunities for our students. It is a joy to see students learning to use the gifts that they have in service to others.
