October is Annual Fund month here at Dalat. Therefore, during the next four weeks you will be hearing a lot about the importance of joining together as a community to make the educational experience at Dalat exceptional for our students.
Holding an annual fundraising campaign is a customary activity for all private, independent institutions. Most schools do so to supplement their yearly budget, expecting donations to help cover the operating costs of the school over and above what tuition brings in.
But this is not the case here at Dalat.
Our efforts are solely focused on adding extra value to the school experience for our students. In August, we ask our faculty to submit ideas for new resources that could make a difference in the teaching/learning process. And then based on our fundraising goal, we develop the list of the year’s Annual Fund projects we hope to complete through the generosity of our community. We are excited to announce that this year we have 14 initiatives covering all divisions, as well as ones that impact everyone.
It will take the whole Dalat community joining together for us to reach this year’s goal of RM 200,000. I would love to see each family participate by making a gift (whether large or small) towards this campaign. It would truly demonstrate that our families are committed to helping make the Dalat experience the best it can be for their children, our students.
Can I count on you to join in?
During this year when we are focusing on treasure as our school theme, consider how you can share of the resources God has entrusted to you to help make a difference here at Dalat.
Check out our Annual Fund web page where you can learn more about all the projects, ways to give, FAQs, and follow the progress towards our goal.
In many ways, I would describe my thirst for learning as insatiable, and that is why I love working with students…
One of the highlights of the first semester each year is the three days we as a school set apart to encounter God during Spiritual Emphasis Days.
