Welcome Back

We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back for another wonderful school year! As always, there’s a fresh sense of excitement around Dalat, with many positive changes we can’t wait to share with you.

One of the major new things on campus right now is the construction project. The tennis court has been demolished, and the construction workers have started on the outdoor basketball court. Once that is finished, we will put in a new grass field. This will be a great place for kids to play! I hope that this will also bring more attention to our soccer, rugby, and track and field programs.

Phase two of the construction will involve demolishing the oldest buildings and replacing them with a parking lot. The plans have been submitted to the city, and we are currently waiting for approval to begin. We hope to have both projects completed by the beginning of next semester.

Here are a few other highlights to note about the new school year:

• 106 new students
• 728 total number of students
• 16 new staff members
• Full implementation of Standards-Based Teaching and Learning
• Games for the Marina rooftop
• Elective Bible classes for seniors
• New school theme: BERSAMA SAMA – We Belong Together

Our community will have a lot to contend with, but I am confident that we’ll be able to weather anything that comes our way, bersama-sama! (transl. together!)
