Fine & Performing Arts: Visual Arts
Dalat students develop an understanding of the visual arts and explore artistic creativity.
Dalat students develop an understanding of the visual arts and explore artistic creativity.
Because the visual arts are so beneficial to all aspects of children’s development, general art is a required course for every student at Dalat from kindergarten through grade 8. Young Dalat students develop their fine motor skills as they explore, create, and expand their ability to think critically.
In high school, students may take elective art courses. Students take a tour of the art world, exploring paintings, sculptures, experimental pieces, and more, critiquing their own compositions and interpreting the spiritual, social, and physical purposes of art in their own lives. Students of all ages display their creations at exhibitions during the school year.
